Graham Jones, Lib-Dem campaigner for St Clement’s ward is backing calls for the Cowley Road Carnival to stay on Cowley Road and not just in South Park. ‘It’s a street festival, not just another fun-fair in the park,’ he says. ‘And just imagine what the park will be like if it rains all day!’ Graham enjoyed the fund-raising evening at the James Street Tavern on Saturday and congratulates the organisers for their hard work. ‘We’re backing you,’ he says.
